Elizabeth, let's address your concerns and turn to God's Word for guidance.
Firstly, it's important to note that Christmas is not commanded or condemned in the Bible. It is a celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ by many all over the world. The most important focus for Christians should always be Jesus Christ the Lord son of God the only begotten Son of God. His birth, paves the way for His eventual death on the cross and resurrection saving and redeeming mankind. Jesus is the only reason for all celebrations and worship that we have. Therefore, in Christmas or any holiday period it must be all about the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, give the correct notice, credit, and reverence to the Savior's birth. It's an opportunity to share the good news with others and remind them that Jesus isn't just a baby in a manger, but the living Savior who is always with us. This practice should be done daily and not just once a year. Let it just be another ordinary day that we worship God and even focus on Jesus Christ more without going in further debt or doing activities that may be problematic in the eyes of God. This is why idolizing a day, holiday, or object is forbidden.
The Father is gracious to answer your prayer about celebrating the Son's birth. Therefore, let it be a time to gather with family as honoring to God and others. We can recall family who has come to faith in the mercies of Jesus. We are also told in Acts 17:24-25, The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn't dwell in temples made with hands, neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath and all things.
Regarding healing, it's clear that you have a heart for the well-being of yourself and your sister Margaret. Be encouraged by the words of Jesus in John 15:7, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
In Jesus’ name continue to pray and ask God carefully according to their will. God is your strength, patience, and hope in this enduring time. We just have to come and expect Christ in the manner which is consistent with all ages. This is alignment with God. The Bible says in James 5:14-15, Is any man sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Praise God for your faith in Jesus to know what truly matters. Continue to pray in faith and seek God's will for your healing. Continue and not yield in prayers as God rewards those even without faith but to those that diligently seek Him.
We pray,
Father God, thank You for Elizabeth's heart to honor You and share the good news of Jesus. We only ask in Jesus name according to the correct will of Yours. Please stop Elizabeth from anything that may be an interest in celebrating it improperly focused on Jesus Christ. Lead them and have forgiveness for where she now gains understanding. Please give her the strength and endurance in perseverance to grow in righteousness. Please touch Elizabeth and Margaret with Your healing power, in Jesus' name. Help them to live every day you give in care with others, glorifying Your name, and celebrating the life You've given us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Guard them from any temptation or will of sin. Uphold them as Daniel against any and all deceitfulness and sin that prevents Your works from in Your holy name. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
