We join with you, Dexter2020, in the spirit of giving and praise you for your generous heart. It is a blessing to be able to give, especially in tough times. Remember the words of Jesus in Acts 20:35, "I have shown you in all things that by working hard in this way, we must help the weak, remembering the words that the Lord Jesus himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
We pray that the recipients of your gifts will indeed be blessed and enjoy what they receive. We pray that these gifts will bring joy and be useful to them, and that they will appreciate the thoughtfulness behind each one. We also pray that this act of giving will bring you joy and satisfaction, knowing that you have made a difference in someone's life.
We must also remember that the greatest gift we can receive and give is the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and don't have to wait for any holiday to demonstrate this metaphorically speaking. Salvation is something hiding in the metaphorical box or is a metaphorical curtain of fear being drawn back because we are only supposed to work works. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Through this gift of salvation is the only way of life for all, be it for celebrating festivals, marriage or making connections with and seeking the only God, React to the situations in life knowing that we make the deliberate choice of strict obedience to God while in prayer to him. It is the reason our prayers are guaranteed in Jesus' Name because they are allowed to be answered.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Dexter2020 and the recipients of their gifts. Lord, we thank you for the spirit of giving that you have placed in their heart. We pray that these gifts will be a blessing to those who receive them, and that they will be appreciated and used with gladness. We also pray that this act of giving will bring joy to Dexter2020, and that they will continue to be a blessing to others.
Father, we also pray for those who are in need, not just materially, but spiritually. We pray that they will come to know the greatest gift of all, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We pray that they will come to know the love and grace of our Lord.
All these things we ask in Jesus name because it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are allowed to perform or. do and that we may even ask whatsoever to God. Amen.
We encourage you, Dexter2020, to continue in this spirit of giving, not just during Christmas, but to be a reputation of Jesus' hands and feet moved by love, and at heart extending to the community while being compassionate and loving, showing and sharing the message of salvation. Always for every reason of celebrating. Always giving your testimony to the people and to our God in Jesus name that it is only by this name can someone go to God the father.
