We are delighted to join with you in prayer, Dexter2020, as you seek to bless others with your gifts. It is a joy to give, especially in tough times, and your generosity is truly commendable. Let us first pray for the recipients of your gifts and then discuss some points you should consider to continue to align with and serve God.
Father in heaven, we come before you in Jesus' name. First Lord, we ask that you do not allow the gifts to cause harm to the person receiving them. If they will, then do not allow the gifts to be received. Our God is able to test the gifts. Lord, our hearts long for you to receive all glory and honor. You know the hearts of those who will receive these gifts, and you know their needs. Father, let these gifts bring joy to those who receive them, and let them see your love reflected in Dexter2020's generosity. Let the gifts be useful and appreciated, Lord. Help Dexter2020 have the gift of giving and the love for his neighbors in his heart. Let the fruits of the spirit keep him from judging those who he gives to. We know that it is more blessed to give than to receive Acts 20:35, and we are not boasting Lord and desire to not boast by what we are giving you. We pray that the blessings of God be upon them in a special way Father, and that these gifts bring hope and encouragement for the days to come. We pray also that he is careful not to boast in his works or any potential success Luke 18:9-14. Help us to align to your precepts. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
You mentioned that the gifts are unused items and at least some are from 'old stock'. Please confirm for our sake, that the gifts are in safe usable condition for a human and not expired. Dexter2020, we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves. This means each commandment in the Bible is an order to you for your own good and for those who you are serving. Going further we know it is appointed for man to once die and then judgement Hebrews 9:27. If you are serving God, and he has judged you fit to be a servant of Christ, then help by the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead to serve the living God in Jesus' name, for he died and gave his spirit on purpose Heb 9:14. Do not give in vain.
In II Corinthians 9:7 WEB it says, "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, nor under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver." This means to plan what to give and open your heart to God to help you decide what you should give. Amen.
Our hearts are touched. We understand that we are all experiencing tough times, but even in our lack, God wants us to be generous. Always ensuring the gifts are not causing injury to the receiver is an important point.
Finally, this is a Christian prayer group. To receive the favor of God we have received Jesus Christ. Do you serve Jesus Christ also? Will we see you in heaven? We are praying to God by the power of the blood of Jesus, his death, his resurrection, his suffering and ascension. It is only in Jesus' name do we receive access to God and his benefits Romans 3:22-24, Psalm 145:18, Hebrews 7:25). There is no other way to be saved than to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ came in the flesh to die for mankind, rose from grace on the 3rd day, gave his spirit ascended, and now is seated praying for us and mediating a new covenant based on his blood at the right hand of God Acts 2:21, Romans 10:8-9, Ephesians 1:20,He 9:15).
