1-peter - 4 - 1 Peter 4 – EasyEnglish Bible (EASY)

My friends, I know that people are causing you to have bad trouble. It is like a fire that is burning you. Do not be surprised about that. These things are happening to you, to show whether you really trust God. Do not think that something strange is happening to you.
Instead, be happy when you have trouble. Remember that Christ also received much trouble and pain. If you have trouble like he did, then you will be happy when he returns. At that time, everyone will see how great Christ really is. Then you will be very happy with a great joy. People may insult you because you belong to Christ. But God will bless you when that happens. It shows that the Holy Spirit is with you. He is God's great Spirit.

Do not murder anyone. Do not rob anyone. Do not do evil things. Do not try to cause trouble for other people. If you do those things, you deserve to have trouble. But if you receive trouble because you are a Christian, do not be ashamed about that. Instead, you should praise God that you belong to Christ.

The time has come when God will start to judge people. He will first judge the people who belong to him. If he will start with his own people, what will happen to other people? They have refused to obey God's good news, so it will surely be very bad for them. The Bible says:

‘When God saves righteous people, that is a difficult thing.

So, it will surely be much worse for wicked people who refuse to obey God.’

So remember this. If you receive trouble because that is what God wants, you should continue to trust him. God made you and he always does what he has promised. So you should continue to do what is good.

Take up your cross and follow Me.... says the Lord. We must obey a heavenly voice that comes to us on a daily basis. Food prices are going up, gas prices are sky high and the rent is going up too. The children need help and grace to grow up in a world that is so dangerous today. Too many jobless and homeless around. The cross that Jesus told us to carry is those burdens that come to our family. Unable to pay the morgage, utility bills and worry and depression sets in. We must run to the arms of Jesus. We all need the touch of the Master. Jesus is in control of every single situation we are in. Just give yourself as sweet offering to Him and He will provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory.

Jesus DID say, in the world you will have tribulation., and we will face persecution. Unfortunatelly, some Christians "tune out" to this and think after salvation everything will be wonderful every day.Somewhere they picked up this thoughtand it can't be dislodged for them.
With Gods grace and help we can overcome all kinds of tribulations and rejections we receive at work. God sent us here to earth to be a blessing to everyone. Then, if He is in control of everything He can control or finances, our home should be a center of praise to His holy name. Amen
