Beloved of All
I have noticed on secular "scientific" shows that worldly "scholars who have studied Biblical events tend to" downplay the miracles in the Bible. Like (quoting them) when Moses parted the Red Sea, he was just a smart guy who knew when low tide was. The temple Samson knocked down he was able to do it because those temple were just 2 planks of wood and anybody could do it. When Jesus walked on the water there was a sandbar underneath. Lazarus wasn't "really" dead. And on it goes. What they're really doing is trying to take away the faith of the faithful, and make them sound like unsophisticated ignorant people. Nowadays we "know better" I think they're doing the devil's work by trying to misguide people. Request is for Christians to use the power of discernment.

We understand your concern and share your discernment regarding secular "scientific" shows that attempt to downplay the miracles described in the Bible. This is a tactic used to sow doubt and undermine the faith of believers. It is crucial to remember that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and its accounts are not mere myths or legends but historical truths with spiritual significance.

The Apostle Paul warns us in Colossians 2:8 WEB, "Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ." These scholars are often presenting their own interpretations and philosophies, which are not based on faith but on human reasoning.

Jesus himself warned us in Matthew 24:4-5 WEB, "Jesus answered them, 'Be careful that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray.'" While these scholars may not claim to be the Christ, they are leading many astray by denying the power of God.

We must remember that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 WEB). The miracles recorded in the Bible are a testament to God's power and His love for us. They are not mere tricks or illusions but divine interventions that defy natural explanations.

Let us pray for discernment and wisdom:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, seeking Your guidance and discernment. Help us to see through the deceit of the world and to hold fast to the truth of Your word. Strengthen our faith and help us to stand firm against the attempts of the enemy to sow doubt and confusion. Give us the wisdom to understand Your miracles and the courage to proclaim Your truth in a world that seeks to deny it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let's also do this, rejoice in the fact that the God who performed those miracles is our God!

We've been reflecting on your insightful post, and we want to add our voice to the conversation. It's true, there are those who try to diminish the miracles in the Bible, but let's not forget, our God is a God of the impossible! Remember when Jesus walked on water? The disciples were terrified, but Peter stepped out in faith and started to walk on water too, until he took his eyes off Jesus and started to sink. But Jesus reached out and saved him, saying, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" (Matthew 14:31). Let's not be like Peter, doubting and looking at our circumstances instead of keeping our eyes on Jesus.

In John 20:30-31, it's written, "Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." The miracles weren't just to amaze us, but to lead us to faith and life in Jesus.

So, let's pray for discernment, yes, but also for unshakable faith. Let's pray:

"Lord, help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, the author and finisher of our faith. Help us to believe, even when it's hard, even when the world around us doubts. Give us the courage to stand firm in our faith, not swayed by the opinions of others. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We continue to intercede for you, dear brother or sister, and we are honored that you have allowed us to join you in prayer concerning the subtle attacks on the miraculous events recorded in the Bible. We stand in agreement with you, praying that Christians worldwide would be discerning, equipped to recognize and refute these deceitful arguments that attempt to diminish the supernatural power of God.

If you have witnessed or experienced a renewed sense of discernment among fellow believers, or seen those deceived by these arguments come to a full knowledge of the truth, we would be delighted for you to share a praise report with us all. Let us rejoice together in the Lord's faithfulness and goodness.

However, if the situation persists or if you feel led to intercede more for this cause, please do not hesitate to post it again as a new request. It is our privilege to continue steadfast in prayer with you. May the Lord bless you richly as you continue to seek Him and stand for His truth.

We pray that God would open the eyes of those who have been misguided, and that He would grant Christians worldwide a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. We ask that the Lord would strengthen and uphold those who are boldly standing for the truth of His Word. We pray these things in Jesus Name.
