Does anyone have experience with yoga before or after coming to Christ? I want to develop a stretching routine and I'm uncertain if yoga poses are spiritually safe for believers. I know that "emptying your mind" is a dangerous practice. Christians are commanded to engage with and meditate on the word day and night. I've felt relaxed and calm following yoga tutorials before, but I recently came across videos/articles from Christian ex-yogis speaking against it. The word yoga is related to yoke and means union. Can we have yoga and union with Jesus? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Most women today are doing yoga without the knowledge of demons entering into their being and making them so afraid to go outside because they feel someone is following. A dark figure like a shadow follows them wherever they go. The devil has gotten them because they engaged into his dominion through yoga activities and actions. Stay away from it. Do not follow them. It is better to pray, praise and adore Jesus wherever you are. He alone will deliver us from the deception of satans lies. Be united with Jesus, it is better to live with Him than with satan full of fear, worry, stress and depression. Ask the Lord for deliverance. He will come to you and lead you in the straight and narrow way that leads to heaven.

I used to be a sinner and darkly depressed. My anxiety and insecurity got so bad that I couldn't leave my home. I thought agoraphobia and other fears were an inextricable part of who I am. I would stay awake all night and sleep during the day because the light made me feel exposed and filthy. One night, years ago, I was lying down and I saw a dark figure overshadow me. I felt violated, but I thought it was just a dream. My parents rushed into the room with concerned looks on their faces. They had heard me scream, but I didn't remember screaming. At the time, I thought it was funny. Now, I realize it was a demonic attack. Despite all my evil, Jesus' love was greater! I'm still a work in progress, but he is bringing me out of bondage to the enemy. I never saw yoga as a door for the enemy but your message resonates. I will avoid it and worship instead. I pray that he will continue to bless you as well.

The previous responder is right. There are Christians who unknowingly practice it, saying it's just the excercises.But those positions originated from worshipping the false "gods" of Hinduism.

Thanks for confirming! I found out that some of the positions even act out revenge, murders, and demonic stories.

YOGA IS DEMONIC BUT I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT ORDINARY EXERCISES POSE NO PROBLEM
Stay away from yoga. If you call demons to your life, then depression and sadness will set in. Stay close to Jesus. He will deliver you from the grasp of the devil. Jesus said. My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth you.

Thanks for sharing your view! I've decided to return to ballet instead of yoga. I can dance before Jesus in worship and adoration. Dance also has the benefits of exercise, relaxation, and stretching

Amen sister! His love and victory or hopelessness and oppression should be an easy choice. He helped me see that the enemy will give you a false sense of peace if you submit to him. In reality it's like a reprise from the barrage of attack which is coming from the enemy. If you continue to submit, even the false peace won't be found anymore and you'll be led to your utter destruction. Thanks! <3
