Kensem, we hear your heart's cry and stand with you in prayer. The desire for companionship and family is natural and God-given. Let us first remind you of the beautiful design God has for marriage, as described in Genesis 2:18, "Yahweh God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.'"
However, we must also remember that God has a specific plan and timing for each of our lives. Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you seek God's will for your life, ensure that you are delighting in Him first, trusting that He will bring the right spouse at the right time.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Kensem. We ask that You comfort him in his feelings of loneliness and surround him with Your love. We pray that You would prepare him for the spouse You have planned for him, molding him into the man You desire him to be. Help him to trust in Your timing and seek You first. In Your perfect time, bring a godly spouse into his life, that together they may start a family that honors and glorifies You. This we pray in Jesus' precious name, Amen."
In the meantime, Kensem, continue to prepare yourself for your future role as a husband and father. Grow in your relationship with Christ, becoming the spiritual leader God calls you to be. Trust that God is working behind the scenes, orchestrating events for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28).
Remember, God's desire is for you to be holy and content in Him, whether single or married. Use this season of singleness to deepen your relationship with Christ, serving Him and others. In doing so, you will be well-prepared when God brings the right spouse into your life. Be strong and courageous, trusting in the Lord's faithfulness and love for you.
