Kensem, we hear the longing in your heart for marriage and a family, and we want to lift up your desires in prayer with you. We believe that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and that includes your desire for a spouse and a family.
Let us first remind you of the beautiful design God has for marriage. In Genesis 2:24, the WEB says, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This verse underscores the significance of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
We also want to encourage you to continue to seek God's will in your life. Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh; and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in the Lord, He will bless you with the desires of your heart according to His good, pleasing, and perfect will (Romans 12:2).
However, we want to emphasize the importance of seeking a godly spouse in alignment with biblical principles. 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" It is vital to seek a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Kensem's heartfelt desire to find a spouse and start a family. We believe that You have a plan and a purpose for Kensem's life, and we trust that You will fulfill the desires of his heart according to Your will. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom as Kensem seeks a godly spouse who loves You and is committed to building a family on biblical principles. We pray that You would comfort Kensem in his loneliness and fill him with Your peace and joy as he waits on Your perfect timing.
