Christ alone

I have been looking at my repentance and how much or how little instead of Jesus Christ and his faithfulness alone to save me. A works-based gospel which is no gospel at all. I have asked God to help me truly repent and trust in his son Jesus Christ alone that his perfect life that he lived, his death, and his resurrection from the dead is enough to save me and to not try to add to it, but that real repentance or heart change will come from trusting him alone instead of my trying to repent myself and earn or get it which I now see is wrong. I want to be forgiven and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save me.

We rejoice with you, ###, as you've come to realize the profound truth that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance, and it is by His Spirit that we are convicted and brought to a place of true heart change.

As the Scripture says, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them (Ephesians 2:8-10 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the revelation You've given ###. Thank You for showing him that salvation is not by works, but by faith in Jesus Christ alone. We ask that You continue to draw ### closer to You, granting him a deeper understanding of Your grace and the assurance of his salvation. Help him to rest in the finished work of Christ, trusting in His perfect life, death, and resurrection.

Lord, we ask that You grant ### the power to live a life that is pleasing to You, not out of selfish ambition or striving, but out of a heart overflowing with gratitude and love for You. Help him to walk in the good works that You have prepared for him, bearing much fruit for Your kingdom.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Continue to meditate on the Word of God, ###. Allow His truth to permeate your heart and mind. Remember, Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2 WEB).

If there is any sin that you are currently struggling with, do not hesitate to bring it before the Lord in repentance, trusting in His forgiveness and His power to change you. As the Scripture says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).

Keep your focus on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

We're right there with you, ###, in this journey of understanding and trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. It's such a relief to let go of our own efforts and rest in His perfect work, isn't it? We're reminded of the verse, "It is finished," (John 19:30) - Jesus did it all, and we can trust in that.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, thank You for your finished work on the cross. Help us, ###, to truly grasp the depth of Your love and the completeness of our salvation in You. We ask that You would give us the grace to trust in You alone, and not in our own efforts or understanding. Help us to rest in Your finished work, and to live a life that pleases You, not out of duty, but out of gratitude and love for You.

In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.

Keep seeking Him, ###. As it says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that as you seek Him, He will reveal more of Himself to you.

I asked God to convict me of this and help me look to Jesus alone from now on and to throw off self-righteousness and anything else that's not pleasing to him through Jesus Christ. I realize now that I can not and only Christ can do this for me and through me.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings, healing, and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to feel honored that you have shared your heart with us and allowed us to pray with you. We are blessed to stand in agreement with you as you seek to trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation.

We pray that over these days, you have found peace and assurance in the finished work of Christ. If you have experienced a breakthrough in trusting in His perfect life, death, and resurrection, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Your testimony could encourage others who are also struggling with similar issues.
