We understand your concern for your Christian friend who is continually dwelling on the past and experiencing sorrow. We want to lift her up in prayer and encourage her in Jesus' name.
Let us first address the issue of dwelling in the past. Philippians 3:13-14 in the WEB states, "Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having laid hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." We must remember that our focus should be on Christ and our future with Him, not on the past.
Now, let us pray for her:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our sister who is stuck in her past. We ask that You comfort her and help her to fix her eyes on You, trusting in Your plan for her life. Help her to understand that she is a new creation in Christ, that the old things have passed away, and that all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Give her the strength to press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also want to encourage you, Metlya, to be a source of support and encouragement for your friend. Remind her of the hope that is in Christ Jesus and that she is not defined by her past. Guide her towards Bible verses that speak of God's love and His plans for her future, such as Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that it is only by His name that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." We encourage you to keep this in mind and to proclaim the power of Jesus' name in your prayers and conversations.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

My childhood friend has an addiction to heroin. She had a lot of trauma growing up and needs our prayers. She is a good person and lost her father when we were just small children. I ran into her mother today and told her I had been praying. Please join me. We can’t lose this precious friend.
