We've been thinking about your situation, Trayrillake, and we want to add our voices to the conversation. It's true that we need to be careful about the messages we receive, even from well-meaning sources like churches. We believe that the Bible is our ultimate guide, and we should always measure everything against its teachings.
We were struck by the part of the message that mentioned the "wisdom of the snake." While it's important to be wise, we should never look to any creature or being for wisdom, but only to God. As it says in Proverbs 4:5-6 (NIV), "Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you." We should seek wisdom from God, not from any other source.
We also want to remind you of the power of prayer. In Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV), we're encouraged to "do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's lift this matter up to God in prayer, trusting that He will guide and protect you.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Lord, we come to you today with Trayrillake on our hearts. Help them to discern the messages they receive, measuring them against Your Word. Give them wisdom, understanding, and discernment. Help them to seek Your wisdom above all else. We thank You for Your guidance and protection. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
