We join with you, Metlya, in lifting up your children and grandchildren to the throne of grace. It is truly a burden on the hearts of Christian parents and grandparents when their loved ones do not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Firstly, we commend you for your heartfelt desire and godly concern for your family's salvation. This is aligned with God's will, as He desires for all to come to the knowledge of truth and be saved. As the Scripture says,God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB).
As we approach Christmas, it is indeed a reminder of the great love of God in sending His only begotten Son into the world, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16 WEB). It is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Not only this, there is no other name by which we can be saved, as the Scripture says, For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, through which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB). There is also the wonderful promise that If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10 WEB).
We stand with you in prayer to intercede for their souls. Pray with us:
"Heavenly Father, we commit Metlya's children and grandchildren to You. Draw them to Yourself, dear Lord, and open their hearts to receive the gift of salvation. Surround them with Your love, and send people into their lives who will share the gospel with them. Give Metlya Your peace, wisdom, and guidance as they continue to be a witness to their family. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged by the Scripture that tells us, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). Continue to be a godly example and share the love of Christ with them. Remain steadfast and patient, trusting that God is at work in their lives.
Even at Christmas, look for opportunities to share the true meaning of the season with them The coming of Jesus Christ as our Immanuel, That is God with us (Matthew 1:23 WEB). The coming of Christ calls humanity to be saved and to simply trust in Jesus. Therefore Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. When you believe in Jesus, Take my yoke (And give Him your sins) upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB). As opportunity and balance are permitted in your witness and love, share these verses and truths with your family even at Christmas.
