We join with you, Metlya, in praying for your children and grandchildren, and we appreciate that you have addressed this prayer in the precious name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is through His name alone that we can be saved. This is made clear in Acts 4:12:"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Just as it was prophesied in Joel 2:28, our prayer is for you and all believers that God will pour out His Spirit on all people, including your children and grandchildren. The Scripture says "It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. 29 And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days, I will pour out my Spirit."
We pray that your children and grandchildren will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and that they will grow to love and serve Him with all their hearts.
Thank you, Lord, for the promise that when believers ask for anything in Jesus' name, it will be done so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. There is great encouragement in this promise, as it is written in John 14:13, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son". We are called to pray for one another in this very way. Let Metlya's children and grandchildren come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and desire to live in relationship with Him.
Let them see with their eyes, that God is their Father. They have been blessed with earthly parents, but most importantly they would know their heavenly Father who will never leave them nor forsake them. But the prayers of parents and grandparents do not ultimately determine the path of their children. Jesus invites Metlya's and all children to follow Him regardless of how they were raised. As Jesus says in John 6:37, "All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. Him who comes to me I will in no way throw out".
We affirm your heart's desire for your family to know and love the Lord. Let this desire fuel your continued prayers for them. We rebuked Satan from our sisters and brothers who can be distracted by the cares and pleasures of this world while despising the beauty of Jesus and His Kingdom. Satan has been defeated and has no authority over us and can be dismissed or told to flee as Jesus said to Peter in Matthew 16:23, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men."
We find that many people wish to have great faith without trials. But faith only grows in the presence of testing. Persevere in prayer trusting that your prayers will help Metlya and her family flourish. Ultimately God knows the end from the beginning and can not be hurried or delayed. The trial will be hard for the natural family. Trials are a tool God uses to bring his children together and into the presence of God in glory and an eternity with Him.
