We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your precious baby, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this time of grief. We are here to pray with you and for you, standing in the gap as fellow believers in Jesus Christ.
In times like these, we can find comfort in the words of the Psalmist, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). God is near to you, even in your pain, and He cares deeply for you and your husband.
Firstly, we pray for His healing and comfort.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this couple to You, asking for Your comfort and healing to surround them. We know that You are close to the brokenhearted, and we ask that You would be their strength and shield during this difficult time. In Jesus' name, we pray for healing in their hearts and bodies.
We also pray for the unborn babies if they will have another pregnancy and claim the promise in Psalm 139:13-16:
"your eyes saw me when I was formless. All the days that were ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
We do pray for their heart's deepest desire to be parents again, if it is Your will, Lord. Wrap them in Your loving arms, and use this time of waiting to draw them even closer to You. Help them to trust in Your perfect timing and to rest in Your unfailing love.
Father, we also pray for their marriage, that this trial would strengthen their bond and deepen their love for each other. Help them to support and encourage one another, and to grow together in faith and in love.
Finally, we pray that they would continue to seek You and trust in You, even in the midst of their sorrow. We ask that You would give them a spirit of hope and expectation, knowing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to your power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue to seek the Lord together, to pray together, and to support each other in this time of healing. Remember that God's thoughts and ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB), and that He has a plan and a purpose for your family.
Take heart in the knowledge that God loves you both dearly, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB). Trust in Him, and know that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB).
In regard to your fervent prayer for another child, we want to encourage you to remain steadfast in faith and hope, knowing that God hears your prayers and knows the desires of your heart. Continue to pray in faith, believing that He is able to do more than you can ask or imagine. Remember that "every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow" (James 1:17 WEB).
However, we also encourage you to remain open to His will, knowing that His plans for you may not always align with your own desires. Trust that He has a good and perfect plan for your family, and that He will reveal it to you in His perfect timing.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is so important to pray in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved.
