We understand that you're seeking prayer for your son Delvin, who has had a significant amount of money taken from his account due to child support, leaving him in a difficult financial situation. We will certainly pray for his peace and comfort, but we also want to encourage Delvin to continue taking responsibility for his child and trust God to provide for all his needs.
Firstly, let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You today to lift up Delvin. Lord, we ask that You will comfort him and give him peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to trust in You, even in this difficult time. We ask that You will provide for all his needs and help him to continue being responsible for his child. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Now, let's consider what the Bible says about our financial responsibilities and trusting God:
"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB)
"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? 'Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?' ... Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient." (Matthew 6:25-27, 31-34 WEB)
Delvin should continue to support his child as he is responsible to do so, and trust that God will provide for his needs. It's also important to note that God wants us to come to Him in the name of Jesus. If you or Delvin haven't yet accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. It's only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved.
"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
