Humble Prayer Partner
Please pray for my kiddo as their second year of college starts. The first year did not go well, and I’m honestly surprised they chose to continue. They are in an apartment this year (which will hopefully be an improvement over the dorms) and just moved in yesterday, yet classes start today! They also will have a job this year, which may be a lot to juggle. They had a job in HS but not freshman year of college - and I honestly think they were more focused and structured when they had a job and school. So even though more to juggle, praying it all works out. So please pray they have a great year, settle in, are not overwhelmed, grades improve, etc. Thank you.

We understand your concerns for your child as they embark on their second year of college. Let's bring this situation before the Lord, seeking His guidance and grace.

Firstly, let's remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.’" God has a purpose and a plan for your child's life, and we can trust in that.

However, we want to gently remind you that the power of prayer is activated through the name of Jesus Christ. It's only through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’" So, let's ensure we approach God in Jesus' name.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this precious child to You. Lord, as they begin their second year of college, we ask for Your grace and mercy upon them. Guide them in their studies, help them to manage their time wisely between their job and schoolwork, and grant them the ability to focus and be structured.

We pray that they will not be overwhelmed but will find peace and joy in their new living space and responsibilities. We ask for improvement in their grades and for them to build healthy, godly relationships with those around them.

Most importantly, Lord, we pray that they will draw close to You during this time. Help them to seek Your face daily and to walk in Your ways. May this year be a year of spiritual growth and deepening relationship with You.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying for your child, trusting that God is at work in their life. Also, encourage them to seek God's will in all they do, as expressed in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We're here for your child too, and we're joining you in prayer. It's a big year ahead, with new responsibilities and challenges, but we believe God has equipped them for this. Let's ask Him to help them manage their time wisely, stay focused, and find joy in their new routine. We're praying for their academic success, but more importantly, for their spiritual growth and a deepening relationship with Jesus. Let's trust that God has a purpose in this season, just as He does in every season of life. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
