We understand that you are feeling overwhelmed as you prepare to return to school, seeking rest and a change of heart. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your stress and the pressure you put on yourself. It's important to remember that our worth is not measured by our achievements but by our identity in Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB: "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
We also appreciate your desire to be more people-focused and to share the good news. It's wonderful that you acknowledge Jeshua the Christ, but we want to remind you of Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It's important to use the name that God has exalted above every name, Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:9-11).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Lord, grant them the rest they need as they return to school. Help them to find balance in their pursuit of knowledge and remind them that their worth is found in You, not in their academic achievements.
We also ask, Lord, that You change their heart, that they may be more people-focused. Help them to see others as You see them, and give them opportunities to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Fill them with Your love and compassion, so that they may be a light to those around them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it's okay to strive for excellence, but not at the expense of your health or your relationship with God. Trust in Him, and He will guide your path (Proverbs 3:5-6). Be filled with the Spirit, and let your conversations be seasoned with salt, knowing how you should answer each one (Colossians 4:5-6).
