We understand your heart's desire for your son Oghenemeru's healing, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God can bring about miracles. However, we must also align our prayers with God's will and His Word.
In the Bible, we are taught to pray for God's will to be done, as Jesus prayed, "Not my will, but your will be done" (Luke 22:42 WEB). We should also remember that God's power is often displayed in our weakness, as the Apostle Paul learned when he pleaded for his own affliction to be removed (2 Corinthians 12:8-9 WEB).
While we believe that God can change your son's genotype, we also acknowledge that God's plan and purpose might be different. Therefore, we pray for wisdom, strength, and peace for you and your son.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we bring before You Oghenemeru. Lord, You know his struggles with sickle cell disease. We believe in Your healing power, and if it is Your will, we ask that You change his genotype from SS to AA. However, above all, we pray for Your will to be done in his life.
In the meantime, Lord, fill Oghenemeru and his family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them the strength to endure and the wisdom to understand Your purpose. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for them.
We also pray that Oghenemeru and his family would know the saving power of Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we pray, believing that He is the great physician and the source of all hope and healing. Amen."
