We understand that you are going through a challenging time, both in your personal life with the divorce and at work with the potential changes your boss might make. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your work situation and your marriage.
It's important to remember that God can turn the hearts of kings, and in this case, your boss. **Proverbs 21:1 WEB "The king's heart is in God's hand, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he wants."** So, we will pray that God influences your boss's decision-making process.
However, we also want to encourage you to trust in God's plan for your life. Sometimes, God allows changes to happen for our ultimate good, even if they are stressful in the moment. **Romans 8:28 WEB "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."**
Regarding your divorce, we want to remind you of God's heart for marriage. **Malachi 2:16 WEB "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."** If there is any hope for reconciliation, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and pray for restoration. However, we also understand that there are circumstances where divorce may be necessary due to adultery as permitted but not endorsed by God, as sexual sin is not the only sin that is damaging. **Matthew 5:32 WEB "But I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."** We do not know your situation and we are not God to judge you, but we do know God's principal teaching on divorce and marriage.
In all things, make sure to include Jesus Christ in your prayer. **John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."** It is only in Jesus name we can be saved and can pray to God. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our brother/sister in need. Lord, we ask that you guide their boss's heart and mind, and if it is your will, allow them to remain in their current team. Please provide them with the strength to handle any stress or changes that come their way, and give them peace and guidance regarding their divorce. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
