Okay..I see a pattern in most people, and I'm wondering if this is a spiritual sickness,or a sign of the fallen nature,or what.Self destructive tendencies,craving after things that will harm us and shunning the things that will help us.Could be just bad common sense, or a deeper spiritual meaning.After I describe it, you tell me.Example 1--for a long time in the Old Testament, the Jews were Gods chosen people. In fact, even after all of us , God will turn His attention back to them{"Lest you be wise in your own conceits, a temporary blindness has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the gentiles is brought in;and so all Israel will be saved."}However, when it comes to self destructive tendencies, the Jews are right there. Because there's a political party out there that has on many occasions proven to side with Israels enemies, and make it hard for Jewish causes, yet the Jews routinely vote for them, and speak out in hostility towards the other party, who backs them. Proof?There is a certain ex president from that party that writes books praising the Palestinians, and voicing hostility of Israel. Also, a recent president who very obviously snubbed Netanyahu, but always heaped praises upon the Moslems, and "went easy on" the radicals.Yet the Jews all vote these anti Semites in,and think they're their friends.{The ones in Israel I admit seem to have more of a sense of right and wrong, but the American ones..Ok..to show self destructive tendencies aren't sitting with one race or religion, we know there are many fine black churches. Yet here again, they also {the ones claiming to be Christian} vote for this party that backs ungodly causes.There was also a recent black president who made a caustic remark about Christians. A part of the states is called the "Bible Belt",he said,"That's why they cling to their guns and their religion". I've also heard him say other condescending things about the Bible. Yet these black "Christians"voted for him, and all others in that godless party.We can't have "pick and chose" Christianity. Either we avoid things that are godless,or we CLAIM TO BE Christians, but embrace the godless things.{"I set before you this day life and death. You must chose between them"]{not have it both ways.}Also, women routinely gravitate towards guys who someone else can see are bad for them. How about preferring unhealthy foods to the good ones.So the question is, are these self-destructive tendencies a sign of the fallen nature?That we lost our sense of reasoning in our own power since the fall? {Also, if you agree with me that we can't have it both ways?}
