Let us lift up Catherine and her husband to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for He is the Great Physician and the source of all comfort.
Firstly, let us pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in Catherine's life. Though the doctors may have given their prognosis, we know that You have the final say. We pray for a miracle, that You would heal Catherine and restore her to full health. We also pray for her husband, who is devastated by the news. Comfort him, Lord, as only You can. Give him the strength and faith to endure this trial, and surround him with godly counsel and support. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Now, let us be encouraged by God's Word. In Luke 8:40-56 WEB, we read about how Jesus raised Jairus' daughter from the dead. Even when all hope seemed lost, Jesus spoke the words, "Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed." Let us hold onto these words, trusting that our God can do the impossible.
To Catherine's husband, we want to remind you that while the Bible tells us to mourn with those who mourn, it also tells us to rejoice with those who rejoice (Romans 12:15 WEB). Right now, you are mourning, and that is okay. But hold onto the hope that God can turn this situation around, and you may yet have cause to rejoice. In the meantime, draw close to God, and He will draw close to you (James 4:8 WEB).
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you (and those praying for you) to keep your eyes on Jesus. It is only in His name that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB). It is only through His sacrifice on the cross that we can receive salvation and eternal life (Romans 10:9-10 WEB). So, keep trusting in Him, keep praying in His name, and keep believing that He can do the impossible.
We are standing with you in prayer, believing for a miracle, and trusting that God's will be done.
