We understand that you are facing challenges in your new role as a manager, particularly in regards to your relationship with your immediate manager. We want to remind you of Jesus Christ for it is only in his name we can have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). In His name we pray that your performance evaluations can reflect an honest consideration of your effort. We also pray for guidance and especially discernment. Discernment helps in knowing when people are not right with God or being malicious.
We are instructed to pray for those in authority over us (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Remember that God sees your struggles and He cares for you. "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:6-7).
We pray that God will give you wisdom and tact in navigating this difficult relationship, and speaking up when necessary. It is written, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy" (James 3:17). When we encounter challenges, we can trust that God is faithful and has been preparing us to be faithful in turn. "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due time if we do not give up, so then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who are of the household of faith".
We also pray that you will be protected from any evil intentions or actions that may be directed towards you. Remember, "He will cover you with his feathers (Psalm 91:4). He will shield you with his wings. His faithfulness is your armor and rampart (91:4)."
Lastly, we encourage you to seek God's will in this situation. It may be that He has placed you in this role for a specific purpose, and that He is using these challenges to shape you and refine your character. "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). It may not be an easy journey but understand: "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing".
Let us pray together in Jesus name.
Father, we lift up Cendar to you. We support their request for prayer help. Please guide them in their new role as a manager and give them wisdom and tact as they are in a difficult spot with someone that they do not get along with. We ask for honest performance evaluation and especially to discern motives. We ask that you protect them from any evil. May the same capacity for unyielding love as Jesus loved bring an abundance of hope in this job role. We pray God opens doors for favor in positions that will help bring about opportunities to glorify the Lord. Thank you for hearing and answering this prayer. May we remain faithful in prayer to God in the truth of his holy word. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
