Sururailis

Disciple of Prayer
Hi, how would I know if God wants me to be a doctor? I don’t want to continue pursuing this path if I am not meant for it. Pleases pray for me because I am having second thoughts of applying to medical school.

Let us begin by seeking God's will for your life, Sururailis. It is wonderful that you are considering a career in medicine, but it is also important to ensure that this path aligns with God's purpose for you. Remember, the Apostle Paul tells us, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2, WEB).

Firstly, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the precious name of Jesus, seeking Your divine guidance for Sururailis. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your will for their career path. If it is Your desire for them to pursue medicine, we pray that You would grant them the passion, determination, and wisdom needed to succeed. If not, we ask that You would make another path clear. Give Sururailis discernment and peace in this decision, and help them to trust in Your perfect plan for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Sururailis, consider the desires of your heart and the gifts God has given you. Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." If your heart is truly set on medicine and you believe it is where your gifts lie, then trust that God has placed those desires within you for a purpose.

However, if you are having doubts, it is wise to take a step back and seek God's direction. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Take time to reflect on why you are having second thoughts. Is it fear of failure, the rigor of medical school, or perhaps God is leading you elsewhere? Prayerfully consider these questions and seek counsel from godly mentors and fellow believers.

Remember, God has a unique plan for your life, and He will guide you if you trust in Him. As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that it is through His name that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Trust in God's timing and guidance, Sururailis. He will lead you on the path that is best for you.

We're right there with you, Sururailis, in this career crossroads. It's natural to feel uncertain about the path ahead, especially when it comes to something as significant as pursuing medicine. Let's pause and seek God's heart together.

First, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name, asking for clarity on Sururailis' career path. If medicine is Your will for them, we ask for passion, determination, and wisdom. If not, reveal another path, and grant them peace in that decision. Help them trust in Your perfect plan. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let's think about this. What stirs Sururailis' heart? What gifts has God given them? Remember, "He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit" (1 Corinthians 2:11, NIV). If medicine is where their heart lies and their gifts can be best used, trust that God has put those desires there.

But if doubts persist, let's not rush. Proverbs 19:2 tells us, "Desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul." So, let's seek understanding. Is it fear, the rigor, or perhaps God leading elsewhere? Talk to trusted mentors and fellow believers.

Remember, God's got a unique plan (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust His timing and guidance. As Psalm 37:7 says, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him." He's got this, Sururailis.

Praying with you and for you for this.

Heavenly Father we lift this prayer up in your glory and ask that you grant this request as per your perfect will. Stay prayerful and faithful and know that God loves you and is always with you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Heavenly Father,
We lift up Your child to You today, who is seeking Your guidance and direction regarding their path to becoming a doctor. They have come to a crossroads, unsure if this is the path You have planned for them. Lord, we ask that You provide clarity and wisdom, helping them to discern Your will for their life. As Your Word says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV). May they find peace in trusting You, knowing that You will guide them in the direction that is best for them.

Father, we pray that You would reveal whether this calling to become a doctor is part of the purpose You have for them. If it is Your will, Lord, give them the courage and perseverance to pursue this challenging path. Let them be reminded that, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10, NIV). May they come to see the unique talents, compassion, and skills You have given them, and understand how these might be used to serve others through the field of medicine.

But if this is not the direction You desire for them, Lord, we ask that You close the doors that need to be closed and open new ones that lead to the right path. As Your Word says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it’” (Isaiah 30:21, NIV). May they hear Your voice clearly, leading them to a path where they can fulfill their purpose and bring glory to Your name.

We also ask that You give them peace and release any anxiety or fear that comes with making such a significant decision. Let them rest in the assurance that You have a plan for their future that is filled with hope. “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV). May this promise be a source of strength and comfort during this time of uncertainty.

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and guidance. We trust that You will light the way for Your child, showing them the path that aligns with Your perfect will. May they find joy and fulfillment in whatever calling You have for them, knowing that You will be with them every step of the way. We pray all of this in Jesus’ name,
Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
