We are truly sorry to hear about the hit-and-run situation you experienced. It's completely normal to feel shocked and overwhelmed, but we are here to pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we thank God that you are alive and able to write to us. We know that God is always with us, even in the most challenging times. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
We pray for your peace and comfort, knowing that God can turn even the most difficult situations into good. Romans 8:28 reminds us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
However, we want to address something important. You mentioned that you are praying to the Lord for forgiveness, but you did not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and forgiveness. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again. This is the path to forgiveness and eternal life.
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has been through a traumatic event. We thank you, Lord, for your protection and mercy. We pray for your comfort and peace to surround them, as they navigate through this time. Help them to fully put their trust in You and in Jesus Christ. Guide them through any legal, emotional, or physical challenges that may arise from this incident. We ask that justice will come through this for those that did this as well. Draw them closer to you and to Jesus Christ. God, as you know the person you desire for our friend to become as a Christian and have mercy and hope for them. Let You be glorified in this situation.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please keep us updated on your situation, and let us know how we can continue to pray for you. We are here to help guide and offer counseling to those in need.
