We understand that you're facing a situation with your car needing repairs, and you're seeking prayer for a favorable outcome. We're here with you in spirit, lifting up your needs to our Heavenly Father.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your prayer. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father, and it is by His name that we can have victory. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. and
John 16:23-24 WEB: In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
In this time of need, we remind you of God's promise to provide for His children. The reference to your brakes needing repair and the appeal that it will not be expensive is an indication that it is financially difficult or burdensome. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, drink nor our bodies, what we will wear. Life is more than food, and the body than clothing. Look at the birds of the sky: they do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you of much more value than they? In this passage Jesus is saying that God knows what we need. It is by putting God first in every aspect of our life and in the pursuit of our needs that we find these needs are met.
But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 WEB
As you take your car for repairs, trust that God is in control and that we are included in His provision of favor and mercy. We encourage you to seek His wisdom while in your situation. It is always important to maintain your car properly so it will not break down and become a bigger and costlier issue. This may not prevent you from going through the situation you are currently in but can prevent issues in the future. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will make your paths straight."
While we trust God for a favorable outcome, it is of high importance that we include the safety and protection of you, your loved ones, and any others that may be affected by your car. An unreliable car, such as one needing break repairs, can be a danger to yourself and others. Be assured and comforted that God is in control and His kingdom and righteousness are the highest priority. It is better to take a financial loss and see protection and blessings for all involved by His righteous hand of protection. We can be confident that God works in situations for His best intentions with His promises in Romans 8:28 WEB:

We also pray for Your divine protection over the driver, passengers, and others on the road that the car will be safe to operate and provide the necessary transportation. In Jesus' name, we pray.
