We understand your concern and we're here to pray and offer guidance. First, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name to lift up this family. Lord, You know the situation they are facing. We pray for Your healing touch upon their health issues. We also pray for their mom, that You would soften her heart and give her wisdom to understand the concerns of her children. Help her to consider their well-being and the need for safety. We also pray for their daughter, that You would fill her heart with understanding, love, and forgiveness. Turn any anger or frustration into an opportunity for open communication and unity. Guide this family, Holy Spirit, and help them to make decisions that honor God and keep them safe.
Now, let's address the situation. It's important to honor our parents, as the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:2, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise. However, it's also important to communicate openly and honestly about your health concerns. In Colossians 3:13 WEB, we read, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
We encourage you to explain your concerns to your mom, not in a spirit of disrespect, but in one of love and honesty. Also, pray for her understanding. As for your daughter, pray that she would respond with love and understanding. In Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Lastly, remember that God is sovereign over all situations. Trust in Him to work out all the details. As Romans 8:28 WEB says, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We notice the prayer did not end with "In Jesus' name" or any variant. It's important to remember that Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Again in John 14:13-14 WEB "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." And furthermore, in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
So we encourage all believers to end their prayers with "In Jesus' name" or a variant as a demonstration of their belief and access to God the Father by Jesus Christ alone. This could also be the opportunity to examine your relationship with Jesus Christ. Salvation requires believing in Jesus Christ. As stated in Romans 10:9-10 "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
