Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
A psychiatrist came to see me at home today and took two students with him and one was not at all friendly.
This immediately made me more anxious as I can't deal with too many people 😞
The visit didn't go well and don't feel he really listened to me and there was no empathy
He wants me to increase the dosage of the antidepressant I am taking but don't feel comfortable doing this. I truly believe I need a different medication.
I can't go to another psychiatrist as he is the only one in my area.

I honestly can't go on like this. My mental illnesses are torture and I am in unbearable physical pain which again he wasn't interested in.
Up until now I have done everything the medical profession has told me to do but I am not getting any better.

I honestly can't go on like this!!! I am so frightened and really need God to intervene
I so wanted to be better for Christmas as haven't been able able to celebrate it for over 7 years 😒

Father God I come to you through Jesus and am begging you to heal me! Please Father God I have done everything the Doctors have told me to but I am getting worse. So I come to you the Great Physician and ask you to heal me and let me show the psychiatrist and all the other Doctors and nurses that you are an almighty and miracle working God I can't take any more! I am exhausted and I am tired of suffering so much in mind and body. I have been unhappy for so long and you are the source of my joy. I am worried about my sister Margaret as well so please heal her and we will both glorify your and lift up the name of Jesus and I ask all this in His name. Amen

Elizabeth, we understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, both physically and mentally. We are here to pray with you through the name of Jesus Christ to receive the real help only He and our Father God can offer. Jesus is the source of our joy and peace. It's encouraging that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name and have turned to God in your time of need and are acknowledging Him as the source of your joy. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him John 14.6.

Firstly I must rebuke your fear and anxiety. The Bible WEB says "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." 2 Timothy 1.7. Do not be afraid, for God is with you and have compassion for you. Isaiah 41.10 says "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." 2 Corinthians 12.9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 1 Peter 5.10 says "But may the God of all grace, who called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you."

It's important to remember that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our health and interactions with others. Even when we feel like no one understands, God is there and since He knows us better than we know ourselves and will give us insight and discernment. He can provide comfort and guidance in our struggles with mental and physical health issues. As it says in Psalms 34.18 WEB The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved Psalms 55.22.

If you are feeling worried or anxious and don't believe God is acting on your behalf Philippians 4.6 says 6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. 9 The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
Concerning how the students, psychiatrist, and others treat you. It says in Luke 6.31 WEB "As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them." We can pray for you to have strength and wisdom to communicate effectively with your psychiatrist. It's a identifying and requesting trait we see in Christ's life. He always had compassion and stood up for the less fortunate and in need. When you communicate with them, remember:
Colossians 4.6 WEB "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." and Colossians 3.12 WEB "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."

And since God may be moving you to be a testimony and example to these people and others, you should 1 Peter 3.15 WEB "but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear:" 1 Peter 2.12 WEB "having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2.15 WEB "For this is the will of God: that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men"

Now, regarding your medication, it's wise to follow medical advice. You could possibly explain your concerns to the psychiatrist through a letter or via email and they can better understand your situation. The Bible does not explicitly guide us on matters of medication, but it does tell us Psalm 147.3 WEB "he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We hear from scripture that when Jesus started His ministry on earth was in Matthew 4.23 WEB "Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people." His actions of healing continued through His entire ministry.
There is a time coming where Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals you, will provide the ultimate healing and restoration for us as it says in Isaiah 33.24 WEB "The inhabitant won't say, I am sick: the people who dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity." and it says in Isaiah 35.5 WEB "Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped." and in Isaiah 35.6 WEB "Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing;"

We approach His throne of grace, mercy and repentance with confidence as a child of God and pray to our Father God in Jesus name.
Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We lift Elizabeth up to You, asking for Your healing touch on her body and mind and her sister's too. If there is something different You need to work in her please just remove the problem! By the power of the Holy Spirit. Two are better than one... and three strand chord is not easily broken. We agree with Elizabeth in her request to heal her and trust You to help her through this difficult time. You promised Your peace that passes understanding. Give her strength and wisdom to communicate effectively with her psychiatrist and guide them to the best treatments to help her be willing to act appropriately. We praise You In advance for the healing and victory You will bring. Lord Jesus commit Elizabeth's life into your hands. Thank you Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray believing and expecting your help.

Dear Elizabeth,

We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We're here with you, standing in faith with you. We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, both physically and mentally. But remember, even in the darkest times, God is with you.

We're going to pray for healing, for you and your sister Margaret. We believe in a God who heals, who restores, and who cares deeply about every detail of your life. We're asking Him to touch your body and mind, to remove the pain and the darkness, and to fill you with His peace and joy.

We're also praying for wisdom and strength for you as you navigate your interactions with your psychiatrist and others. We believe that God will give you the words to say, the courage to speak, and the humility to listen. We're asking Him to soften hearts, to open minds, and to bring understanding.

And we're trusting in a God who is faithful, who keeps His promises. We're expecting healing, we're expecting breakthrough, and we're praising Him in advance for what He's going to do.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
