We are truly sorry to hear about the discomfort you're experiencing due to painful acid reflux and the resulting sleeplessness. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement. Before we begin let us share with you an important part of praying. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. There is power in the name of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only mediator we need. He is our living Savior and we pray to God by the authority of Jesus and our faith in Jesus. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Sleepless nights can be challenging, but we trust that God will grant you peace, healing, and rest.
Let us pray together in faith and the authority of Jesus Christ.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with acid reflux and sleeplessness. We pray for Your healing touch upon their body, especially their stomach. Please soothe their pain and grant them the peace of sleep once more.
You tell us in Psalm 127:2,
For he gives to his beloved sleep.
We declare in Psalm 4:8 the words the peace,
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep;
for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.
and in Psalm 121:5,
The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
God, in Your mercy. grant them a night of peaceful rest, and help them awake refreshed and renewed. We also pray for their faith to be strengthened during this time, knowing that You are always with them, even in discomfort.
We stand on the authority of David and the wisdom of Solomon the Psalm and Proverbs when we quote these verses and ask you to give us sleep and peace with a healthy and strong stomach.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
In times of discomfort, remember that God is always with you. He says I will not leave you or forsake you. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. You can cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you.
Here are another couple of verses to encourage you in the mean time.
Psalm 121:2,
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
and Isaiah 26:3,
You will keep in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Be encouraged, and know that we are praying for your healing and rest, and your faith to endure to the very end.
If the issue persists, do not hesitate to seek medical attention, just like the apostle Paul needed to seek help from the doctor Luke. Although not every Dr may be a person of God, there are those out there who have prayed to receive the wisdom and knowledge from God to be able to help others.
God will bring the truth to light with your stomach issues and sleeplessness and will provide you with rest on earth until you meet the eternal rest with Jesus in heaven.
Another verse too encourage us:
Psalms 127:2
It is vain for you to rise up early,
to sit up late,
to eat the bread of sorrows;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.
Let us never forget the promise of eternal rest mentioned in the final verses of the Bible in Revelation 14:13
I heard the voice from heaven saying,
Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.
Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors;
for their works follow with them.
