We understand that you're going through a trying time, grappling with worries and fear. First, let's address your concerns about your situation.
We are reminded in Romans 8:28, For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. God can take even the most worrying situations and turn them for good. It is important to remember that even if the shortcut taken was not illegal, that it was not wise. The Bible does tell us that we should be subject to the authorities in Romans 13:1 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. An attorney should never be our moral compass. We see what the Bible says about this in Romans 12:2, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Regarding your fears, God's word encourages us, in 1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Also, in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray together.
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before you, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with worry and fear. They have confessed their doubts and fears to you, and we ask that you forgive them and grant them your peace. Lord, you know the intricacies of their land dispute and the shortcut taken. We pray that you guide them through this trial, and that your will be done in this situation. Help them to trust in you completely, and to not lean on their own understanding. In your name, we can be saved, and through your name, we can approach our Heavenly Father and you promised this in John 14:13-14 Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Help them to fix their mind on you and to trust in your goodness. Guide them through this legal matter, and give them the wisdom to make decisions that honor you. We ask this in your precious and holy name, Jesus. Amen.
