Let us first understand that we should be praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" And as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, concerning the fishing trip, we should be cautious not to pray against someone's free will or their enjoyment of God's creation. Instead, let us pray for their safety and that God's will be done. Perhaps, God may change their heart or the circumstances for His purposes. As it is written in Psalm 37:4 WEB: "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Regarding Vuyo and his tasks, we should pray that God would give him the strength, wisdom, and perseverance to complete them. As it is written in Philippians 4:13 WEB: "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in the lives of the Koos and Vuyo. Lord, if it is Your will, please change the hearts or the circumstances of the Koos regarding the fishing trip. We pray for their safety and that they would delight in You.
Father, we also lift up Vuyo to You. Please give him the strength, wisdom, and perseverance to complete his tasks. Help him to rely on You and to do all things through Christ, who strengthens him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage Balmikos to trust in God's will and to pray according to it. As it is written in 1 John 5:14-15 WEB: "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
