We understand that you are going through a challenging time, Aperitmesis, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God's will is for marriages to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman only. His word says in Malachi 2:16, “'For I hate divorce,' says WEB, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says WEB of Hosts. 'Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.'" So we are agreeing together in prayer for the restoration of your marriage.
However, it is also crucial to understand that love and good feelings for each other are not the only foundation for a successful marriage. The Bible tells us 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 , "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, 5 doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; 6 doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."and Colossians 3:19 ESV / " Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them."
As you pray and believe for your husband to return, also pray that God will work in both of your hearts, drawing you closer to Him and to each other as husband and wife. Pray that He will help you both to become the spouses that He intends for you to be. Remember that His word says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Aperitmesis and her husband. Lord, we pray for a miraculous restoration in their marriage. We ask that You soften her husband's heart and draw him back home. Help them to rekindle the love that You placed in their hearts for each other, and guide them as they rebuild their marriage on Your principles. We thank you that Jesus gave us the example of the Church by becoming her bridegroom and sacrificing Himself for her. Let their love for each other be respectfully mutual and submissive. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ given to us to take to the Father through the Holy Ghost, Amen."
As you trust in God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ his only begotten Son for the restoration of your marriage, we are reminded in Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Most importantly, always remember in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." "
Lastly, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and will. Be patient. Remember to surrender your ways to His as in Isaiah 55 8:9 we are admonished "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Continue to trust in the music of Jesus. It is WELL. Comfort your heart with His Words and His Love through the Word of God.
