We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage, and we want to support you in prayer and truth according to God's word.
Firstly, we commend you for your faith in the power of Jesus' name, as there is no other name by which we can be saved and only by his name we can approach the throne of God. As the scripture says, And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB.
However, we want to remind you that while we have authority in Jesus' name, we should be cautious in using phrases like "cutting her off with the blood of Jesus." Let us remain focused on praying for your husband and your marriage, and let God deal with the other individuals involved. Vengeance belongs to God, and he will repay.
God's word tells us, If possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. 19 Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:18-19 WEB.
Now, let us pray for your marriage:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her husband Leonard to you. Lord, we know that you desire that marriages reflect the relationship between Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:25-28 WEB), and we ask that you would work in Leonard's heart and turn his heart back toward his wife and family. We pray that any influence that is not from you, Lord, would be removed from Leonard's life, and that you would restore and strengthen their marriage. We ask that you would give them both the wisdom and grace needed to navigate this challenging time, and that you would be glorified in their marriage.
Sister, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord and resting in his promises. Remember that he is faithful in all his promises. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23 WEB.
Keep praying and fighting for your marriage, but always remember to live in peace with others, and let God be in control. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 WEB. As well, please remember, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. 24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; Ephesians 5:22-25 WEB this relationship should be a picture of the relationship Christ has with the church, His Bride.
We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will hear our prayers and work in your marriage.
