We are truly saddened to hear about the divorce proceedings between ### and ###. We believe that marriage is a sacred and lifelong commitment, ordained by God. As it is written in Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."
Firstly, we notice that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in this request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We encourage ###, ###, and ### to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith.
We must also address that the focus seems to be on the happiness of the couple and their pet, rather than on the will of God. We should seek first the kingdom of God, knowing that He wants us to be happy, His version (Matthew 6:33). While it is understandable to desire happiness, it is crucial to align our desires with God's will and His principles.
Now, let us pray together for ### and ###:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and ###. We pray, Lord, for a miracle in their marriage, that the divorce would be canceled, and their home would be restored. We ask that You would soften their hearts, drawing them closer to You and to each other. Help them to forgive one another, to love each other as You have loved us, and to seek Your will for their marriage. Lord, we ask for a unity that comes only from You.
Father, we also pray for ###, that You would give them comfort and peace during this time. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty and to seek Your face continually.
Lord, we ask that ### and ### would become one flesh again (Genesis 2:24), that we may see a testimony of Your grace and redemption in their marriage. We ask this all in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage ###, ###, and ### to meditate on the words of Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
