We are with you in spirit, dear friend, and we join you in prayer as you seek to move forward and overcome the pain of your past relationship. We commend you for acknowledging God's presence in your life and for desiring to live in a way that pleases Him.
Firstly, let us remind you of what the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:13-14 (WEB): "Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Just as Paul encourages us to press on and forget what is behind, we encourage you to do the same.
In regards to your struggle with letting go of your ex, remember that God calls us to love even our enemies, but that love does not have to mean persistent attachment or obsession. It is important to set boundaries and to respect the new life your ex has chosen. As it says in Romans 12:18 (WEB), "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
We also want to address the temptation to stalk your ex and his new partner on your phone. This behavior is not healthy or productive, and it can lead you into further pain and sin. Remember, God calls us to live in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 (WEB). Engaging in this behavior does not align with these fruits of the Spirit.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your help and guidance in our brother/sister's life. Lord, we ask that You grant them the strength and wisdom to move forward from their past relationship. Help them to resist the temptation to look back or to stalk their ex. Give them a sound mind, steadfast love, and the power to live a healthy and productive life, free from laziness and distractions. Help them to pursue You and Your will above all else. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to pursue God and trust in His plan for your life. He has promised to work all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will guide your path.
