Can a human be of benefit to God? If yes, why ?
Do you know the parable of the prodigal or lost son who wasted all his wealth and returned unto the father from Luke 15? Does God indeed rejoice when He finds His lost sheep? While yes we benefit God when we share Jesus with others yet as we read and study the Words of God/Jesus we benefit ourselves from actually doing what Jesus instructs as well. We are God/Jesus' hands and feet my friend. Do we desire to suffer from only a lack of knowledge?

BIG YES,Romans 8:16-17 God 's Spirit joins himself to our spirits to declare that we are God's children.Since we are His children, we will possess the blessings he keeps for HIS people, and we will also possess with Christ what God has kept for him,for if we share Christ's sufferings,we will also share HIS glory. This is why it is so important that we see ourselves as sons and not as believers or Christian or followers of Christ or denominational believer.Yes,when we are born again we start as babes and grow as children of God but eventually we must mature to the place that we walk as sons of God Ephesians 4:13.Revelation 14:1 says '' having the father's and the SON 's names upon their foreheads"

God 's Spirit joins himself to our spirits to declare that we are God's children . This is only possible through Jesus and without Jesus no human being before or future can be called as God's children .

My question still ..
Can a human be of benefit to God? If yes, why ?

May be you will find your answer sir from the book of Job 34:29-30 and Job 35:5-8 Glory to God .Amen
Sorry brother, I just read and didnt find the answer or any interpretation through this . But yes, I got this question from Book of Job for sure .

Job 35:5-8

New International Version

5 Look up at the heavens and see;
gaze at the clouds so high above you.
6 If you sin, how does that affect him?
If your sins are many, what does that do to him?
7 If you are righteous, what do you give to him,
or what does he receive from your hand?
8 Your wickedness only affects humans like yourself,
and your righteousness only other people.

Job 34:29-30

New International Version

29 But if he remains silent, who can condemn him?
If he hides his face, who can see him?
Yet he is over individual and nation alike,
30 to keep the godless from ruling,
from laying snares for the people.

Have you ever noticed that the very same Spirit that moved upon the face of the deep is still there today moving upon the face of the deep? Do you actually know that the face of God is not only described as the Sun but that it is in fact the Sun of Righteousness declared in the last book of the Old Testament. Isn't only God Righteous? Have you ever actually noticed that the Sun is reflected by the moon. Have you ever looked into the moon and noticed the reflection of a face with one eye that appears to be weeping and an open mouth with smoke coming out of it?

Be patient Brother...

The old testament was in place due to the fall. Adam and Eve were no longer in the garden consequently losing a special place they had with God. The proverbial veil was inbetween God and His people.
The old testament instituted the rewards and punishment system to govern the people (blessings and curses). One could say that the old was about the consequences of positive and negative thinking.

The old foretold of a better covenant that would be written in our hearts -Jeremiah 31:31-33.

The New Testament is about reconciliation with God, redeeming the people. It's about Jesus restoring what was lost in the Garden... a personal Loving relationship with God. It's about forgiveness and atonement. The Holy Spirit abides in those who seek Him in truth (righteous Love). We have become ambassadors of God, a Holy priesthood. Surely this mantle benefits God.

John 14:20

“At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.”

We are sharing God! We are sharing unconditional Love with others.
It's no longer about positive and negative thinking. It's about Divine altruistic Love, where beneficial thinking resides.
So where I stand we benefit God through spreading His Love.

In God's Love Brother.

A human, as in unregenerated?
When we are born again, we are born of the spirit, we have a soul and live in a body. As children of God, we are "born of God" and have become the hands and feet of Jesus. In fact, we, as spirit, living in a body, are commanded to put away the works of the flesh and to walk as children of God. So Jesus giving us authority and dominion, we are to speak the same things as God speaks. We are to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and praiseworthy.
There is no other instrument in which God is able to use. He said to go ye therefore and preach the gospel, lay hands on the sick, raise the dead. Speak life, release life. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death.
