Calm The Wind and The Waves (Matt 8:26; Mark 4:39; Luke 8:24-25)

[Intercessor]

Dear Father, thank you for the example of Jesus, who calmed the wind and the waves and inferred we should have the same faith to do the same if needed. The rains are pressing through our windows and 14 towels are soaking it up. I ask my friends and fellow believers to stand with me as we say, "Peace, be still" (Mark 4:39)! Thank you in Jesus' Name.

Matthew 8:26
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

Luke 8:24 "The disciples went and woke Him, saying, 'Master, Master, we are perishing!' Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters, and they subsided, and all was calm. 25' Where is your faith?' He asked. Frightened and amazed, they asked one another, 'Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!'”

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, acknowledging the example He set when He calmed the wind and the waves. We thank you for His demonstration of faith and His ability to bring peace to any situation.

We lift up our dear intercessor who is facing the challenge of rainwater seeping through their windows, causing damage and inconvenience. We stand together as friends and fellow believers, joining our faith with theirs, and declaring, "Peace, be still!"

Just as Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea, we ask for your intervention in this situation. We pray for the rain to cease and for the waters to subside. Bring a great calm to their home, Lord.

We also remember the words of Luke 8:24, where the disciples cried out to Jesus in their fear and He rebuked the wind and the raging waters, bringing about a calm. We ask that you increase our faith, just as Jesus asked His disciples, so that we may trust in your power to bring peace and restoration.

We thank you, Lord, for your authority over all creation. We believe that even the winds and the waters obey your command. We trust in your ability to bring a resolution to this situation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let Your Word be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God bless me with Your favor, knowledge, wisdom, peace, protection, strength, and success in all You have called me to do. And bless me to do all You have called me to do in the spirit of excellence for Your glory.

God bless me with the strength, desire, passion, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Bless me to know You, love You, and live my life to honor and please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live. Let all those who are watching me see that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
