We understand that you're seeking peaceful sleep, and we're here to pray with you and share God's word.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus and seeking help in His name. We are reminded in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is by the stripes of Jesus that we are healed.
God wants us to rest in His peace. In John 14:27 WEB, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
For sleep, we read in Psalm 4:8 WEB, "I will lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety." Furthermore, "when you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet." (Proverbs 3:24)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We petition You for our friend who seeks restful sleep. Lord, according to Your word, we ask that You grant sleep that is sweet and peaceful. We rebuke any anxiety, stress, or worry that may be keeping our friend awake.
In Jesus' name, we pray for a hedge of protection around our friend's mind and body, and we cancel any interference from the enemy. We ask that You, Lord, alone make our friend live in safety.
Help our friend to cast all worries and anxieties on You, Lord, for You care for us. (1 Peter 5:7) May this sleep be a time of restoration and renewal, and may it be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
