Ezekiel had seen an amazing vision during a horrible time in the life of God's people. Ezekiel was a prisoner in a foreign land, and God's glory — God's messenger, God's Spirit — came to him and communicated several important things:
O Father, God of all nations and Lord of every circumstance, please use your Spirit in our day to raise up leaders who will communicate your truth to us and call us to serve you and bring you the honor that is due you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Key Thought
Ezekiel had seen an amazing vision during a horrible time in the life of God's people. Ezekiel was a prisoner in a foreign land, and God's glory — God's messenger, God's Spirit — came to him and communicated several important things:
- God is not confined to a place, but he lives in and with and for his people.
- God knows what his people do, and their conduct matters to him — no matter where they are and what their circumstances are.
- God uses his Spirit to call people to serve his people and communicate his will whether they are willing to listen or not.
Today's Prayer
O Father, God of all nations and Lord of every circumstance, please use your Spirit in our day to raise up leaders who will communicate your truth to us and call us to serve you and bring you the honor that is due you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
