We are glad to join you in prayer, Anonymous. It is wonderful that you have come seeking forgiveness in Jesus' name. We know that there is no other name by which we can be saved and that in Him alone we have forgiveness of sins. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men (First Timothy 2 WEB).
Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, as a group of believers to reflect you and pray for you. Through Jesus as is mentioned in the letter to the Hebrews 4 remind us that we have a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession of Jesus to seek forgiveness as you have. For even Jesus was tempted as He intercedes for us because he suffered without sin and understands infirmities as a separate entity from us so that we may not wither and die in our spirits and give up or shrink back from the Truth.
Dear Jesus,
Lord, our companion submits their request in Your precious name, asking for forgiveness. We stand with Anonymous before the Throne of grace and mercy, seeking Your forgiveness as the One who gave Himself as a ransom for us. We ask that You forgive Anonymous sins, cleanse them from all unrighteousness and restore your peace and joy, as the scripture from First John 1 promises and that Jesus died for our sins and the sins of the whole world many years ago. We ask this believing in Your promise from First John 2:1 (We believe that Jesus Christ is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.) and Psalm 130:3-4 (If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be feared.). Anonymous has confessed and taken just the first step toward real repentance, Lord! Complete this work of obedience to the Truth in His life. Give Him the complete understanding of how horrible sin is to You. Develop an increasing hatred for sin in your servant, Anonymous. Do this also for our group that we may be aware and speak of what is a joy and pleasure to You.
Anonymous, as you continue to walk with Jesus, remember that His forgiveness is complete, frees from guilt and shame. It gives us the power to live for Him and grants us eternal life. It is promised from First John 2:1 that if Jesus died and is the propitiation (or atoning sacrifice for all the sin that has ever been performed) for our sins then not only ours but also for the entire world's debt of sin. As yourself a few questions about where you are going in life, Anonymous.
As you continue with us in your walk with God, consider these reminders from scripture. They include how we are ministers of Christ Jesus, ministers of God, and ones who have been trusted and upon whom was given the mysteries of God. To answer what is required to be a servant of Christ with all of the ministry that it brings was written about in the first book to the Corinthians in chapter 4:
A person should think about us this way: as servants of Christ and managers of the mysteries of God. In this regard, it is required that managers be found faithful. More than that, it is required that managers be found faithful. More than that, it is required of managers is that they be found faithful. In my case, it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I don't even judge myself. I am not aware of anything against me. But I am not justified by this, it is the Lord who judges me. So don't judge anything before the Lord returns, he will bring things to light that are hidden in darkness and will reveal the motives that we are sponsoring without even realizing it.
For Anonymous these verses are a call to live faithfully. You are called in fact justified by our Lord's forgiveness to reveal His Word and mysteries. You are the servant manager of an indescribable wealth of knowledge and ministerial responsibilities to live with and show God's love to those around you and to wait for the promised restoration day when God returns and judges those sins, bringing light to the darkest attributes, habits, character qualities, and thoughts of us all.
