We understand your struggle with this difficult situation, MsJolly, and we're here to support you in prayer and guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for humbling yourself and choosing to forgive, as Ephesians 4:32 tells us, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."
However, we must address a couple of things in your request. Burning sage for cleansing is not a practice supported by Scripture. Our cleansing comes from the blood of Jesus Christ, as 1 John 1:7 says, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin."
Secondly, while it's important to be discerning about others' motives, we must be careful not to harbor bitterness or judgment. Romans 12:18 encourages us, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up MsJolly. We thank You for her humility and willingness to forgive. We ask that You cleanse her heart, mind, and home with the blood of Jesus. Shine Your light into every dark corner, and drive out all negativity. Give her discernment and wisdom in dealing with this difficult person, and help her to keep her focus on You. Restore her peace, creativity, and joy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, MsJolly, to keep your eyes on Jesus and trust Him to handle this situation. Continue to forgive, and remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). He will fight for you; you need only to be still (Exodus 14:14).
