Building a home

Dear Lord, how are you doing? I have come before you praying for money to build a home for my children. I am servicing a loan in the bank right now, but I know your ways are not Man's ways. Please Help me, I have no one to run onto, only you can help me get out of renting. Amen

We understand that you are seeking financial provision to build a home for your children, and we appreciate your faith in God's ability to provide. It's important to remember that God cares about our needs and hears our prayers. We are given encouragement about this in the following verses.

Never be anxious about anything; but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Phil 4:6)

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you for everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Mat 7:7-8)

The name of Jesus is the only name by which we should be praying as Jesus instructed in John 16:23, "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name."

Since we are given this promise that we should present our requests to God, let's lift up ### together in Jesus name as we ask for God's provision and guidance.

Father in heaven, we come before you in Jesus Christ's name, lifting up ### and asking and believing you to provide the funds needed to build a home for ###'s children. With thanksgiving we ask this. Guide ### in managing the current loan and provide wisdom in the future. Help ### avoid putting trust in wealth and possessions. Encourage and guide ### to be consistent in prayer and also obedient to your will. May he be filled with your peace and joy as our Lord Jesus Christ overcame the world. May he find satisfaction in the riches of knowing you and the eternal inheritance awaiting him in heaven, in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

We would encourage not only praying for what he wants but asking God for the resources to get out of debt. Just as much as God wants to provide the desires of our hearts that align with His will, he desires for us to have the discipline to manage our money and live debt free.

Your desires should not be just focused on getting out of renting. We are called to seek God's kingdom and righteousness and His promises are that all these other things would be added on to us. Chasing and pressing desires that are not in His will or alignment for our life are contrary to this biblical principle. As you are concerned about building a house and at the same time honor God, we should present this desire to God with the appropriate motive, which is to honor him.

"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Mat 6:33)

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice.

We're right there with you, ###, in this journey of faith. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share a little more encouragement from God's word.

In Psalm 145:15-16, we read, "The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing." God sees your desire for a home for your children, and He's more than capable of providing for you.

We also found comfort in these verses from Matthew 6:25-26, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

We believe that God is aware of your needs, ###, and He wants to meet them. Let's continue to trust in Him, pray in Jesus' name, and watch as He works in your life. Let's also remember to give thanks in all circumstances, just as we're encouraged to do in 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

We're praying for you, ###, that God would provide the funds needed to build a home for your children. We're also asking for wisdom in managing your current loan and guidance in making future financial decisions. We trust that God will give you peace and joy as you put your trust in Him.

Let's keep seeking God's will in this, ###. As we read in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." We're confident that God has a plan, and we're here to support you in prayer.
