We are truly sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your brother's son. We will lift them up in prayer, trusting in the Lord's goodness and sovereignty in all situations. Firstly, it would be good to mention Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child and his family to You. Lord, You tell us in Your Word that You knit us together in our mother's womb (Psalm 139:13), and that You have a plan and a purpose for each of our lives (Jeremiah 29:11). We claim these promises for this child, Lord. We pray that You would watch over him, protect him, and guide his family as they navigate this journey.
Father, we also pray for this child's parents. Give them strength, wisdom, and patience. Surround them with a community of believers who will support them and point them to You. Help them to trust in You and to rest in Your goodness and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage your brother to look to the Lord for strength and guidance. The Bible tells us that God's "power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). This child has been uniquely created by God, and He has a purpose for his life.
Psalm 139:14-16 reminds us, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn't hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."
Lastly, we encourage your brother to seek the Lord in all things. If he has not already, we pray that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). It is only the birth into the kingdom of God that Jesus refers to in John 3:3-7 that we truly have life, salvation, and eternity with Jesus. Let us know how we can continue to pray for your brother and his family.
