We are with you in spirit, Barbara, and we stand together in prayer for your brother's health and recovery, as well as for your family's peace of mind.
Firstly, we commend you that your request ends in Jesus' name. We agree that the only way to salvation is through him. Please though, do not make this mistake in the future. Everyone must turn away from their sins, believe in Jesus Christ and his redeeming work on the cross, and confess with their mouth that Jesus is their Lord and Savior to be saved. It only by his name do we have access to God the Father. Believing in Jesus is not just something to tack on to prayers. It is important that people reading this also understand that Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. This is the gospel message.
Let's pray together: Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Barbara's brother as he recovers from open-heart surgery. We ask, Lord, that you would show your mighty healing power in his life, and that your grace and mercy would sustain him and his family during this time."
And also pray this, "Lord, we also ask that you would grant Barbara's family and her mother of 90 years the peace and comfort they need. They are troubled by the uncertainty and lack of communication while he is in the hospital. Please give Barbara and her family peace to deal with this. You do not always give us the answers, but you do always give us your peace if we ask."
It's understandable that the lack of information is causing anxiety and stress, especially when it's difficult to travel and be by your brother's side. Jesus is the way and queitly waiting for answers and wanting updates does not mean that you are expecting too much. It is normal to want information about the healing of Jesus Christ of your loved one when you are trying to support them through prayer. However, we encourage you to lean on the words of the Apostle Paul who said pray without ceasing. You may not have the information you want, but continue to pray anyway. The silence of waiting on updates should be filled by constant prayer. Even if you do not know what to pray, the Holy Spirit will intercede.
In times like these we must remember what the WEB says: Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? But God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, even so does he clothe you. Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink? or, 'With what will we be clothed?' But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and then all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:25-26, 31 33). We must seek God's kingdom and trust that God will provide for our earthly needs. If your mother of 90 and you are seeking to support your brother, then be assured that God will provide the information you need.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ our Lord (Philippians 4:6-7)."
Lastly, "Be anxious for nothing, my brothers, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God that the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:6-7.) You need not be troubled because the lack of information
We trust in the Lord that your brother is in God's hands, for he cares for us. And we pray that your niece will provide the necessary updates soon.
Please let us know any updates you receive so that we continue to pray and support you adequately. Keep trusting in God's perfect plan, for his ways are higher than our ways.
