We are truly grieved to hear about the spiritual bondage that Arthur has been in for so many years, and the pain it has caused your family. The Bible tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). We stand with you in prayer and in the power of Jesus' name, believing for Arthur's deliverance and salvation.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can find salvation and freedom.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for Arthur. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life and ask that You break every chain of bondage that has kept him in this cult for 35 years. Lord, we rebuke the spirits of deception and darkness that have blinded him, and we ask that the light of Your truth would penetrate his heart (2 Corinthians 4:4, WEB). Grant him the spirit of wisdom and revelation, that he may know You and the power of Your resurrection (Ephesians 1:17-18, WEB). We pray for his immediate deliverance and spiritual acknowledgment of his sins, that he may turn from them and be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to stand on the promises of God and to persevere in prayer. Remember, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16, WEB). Keep declaring God's Word over Arthur's life, knowing that it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17, WEB) and has the power to demolish strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB).
In addition, we urge you to seek support from fellow believers and your local church. The Bible teaches us to bear one another's burdens, and so to fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, WEB). You do not have to carry this burden alone.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you, wherever you go (Joshua 1:9, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will act on behalf of Arthur and your family.
