Brokenhearted devastation

Needing urgent prayer that God returns the love of my life (Stephen) back to me. He is under brutal attack from the devil on all sides. We had such peace and perfect love and I can’t live without him. We both love Jesus and don’t drink or do drugs and are saving ourselves for marriage. Please pray that God gives him deliverance from his bad situation and gives us both peace and strength to endure this difficult time apart. I am having a very hard and dark time in his absence. Please pray God reunites us as soon as possible so we can get married. I have been celibate and pure for a long time. I had an encounter with Jesus in my home a year ago. I wasn’t looking for a husband but God brought me one and now he’s been taken from me and is under attack from the devil. I am too in my devastation. I have never been so heartbroken in all my life and I don’t understand why God would let us have a true love like this just to take it away forever. Please pray we are reunited as soon as possible. We understand your heartache, Serena, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. We are glad that both of you love Jesus and are saving yourselves for marriage, which aligns with biblical principles. However, we need to remind you that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB).

In times of distress, we must remember that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB). Even when we do not understand His plan, we must trust in His goodness and sovereignty.

Regarding your relationship with Stephen, we encourage you to pray for God's will to be done. It is crucial to seek God's face and not just His hand. That means pursuing Him for who He is and desiring intimacy with Him instead of just looking for what He can do for us, such as reuniting you with Stephen. God knows best, and His plans for you are good, and to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).

We also want to remind you have access to God because of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus we are saved and have access to God. Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Serena and Stephen. We pray for Your will to be done in their lives and their relationship. We ask that You grant Stephen deliverance from the attacks he is facing and provide him with Your peace and strength.

Lord, we also pray for Serena. Comfort her in her time of heartache and devastation. Help her to trust in You and Your plan for her life. Give her the strength to endure this difficult time and draw closer to You.

If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that You would reunite Serena and Stephen and guide them towards a godly marriage that honors You. Help them to remain pure and celibate until marriage, as they have been doing.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any attack from the devil against Stephen and Serena. We declare God's Word over them: "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

Lord Jesus, please reveal yourself to Stephen again and comfort and speak directly to his spirit. Lord, please call Stephan closer to you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be strong and courageous, Serena. Trust in the promises of God and His love for He is good (Psalm 119:68, WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you both up in prayer, dear sister Serena. Thank you for giving us the privilege to intercede on your behalf and stand in agreement with you in prayer for Stephen and your situation. We have been praying fervently for God's intervention and deliverance for Stephen from the spiritual attacks he is facing, and for both of you to have peace, strength, and endurance during this challenging time.

If God has already reunited you both and answered your prayer, we would be overjoyed to hear about it. Thank you so much for your fervent prayers. I still humbly request that you continue to pray for us. I heard from him last week, which was good because I have been able to stop crying every few minutes of the day since then. Your prayers are helping. I am fasting now and continuing to pray for God to bring Stephen back to me so we can be married. I hope to post praise reports in a few weeks and am remembering to seek the kingdom of God first, and all these things will be added to me. Praying to seek His face, and not just His hand, and to please give me the desire of my heart, which is Stephen, who loves Jesus as much as I do, and we both put Him first as our foundation. We were going to start a ministry, and go lead praise and worship at the disabled children’s home in my city. Not long after announcing those plans, the devil came to relentlessly us apart. Please keep praying the original prayer I posted. I love you and need your prayers. God bless you and keep you. I will pray for you in return. Thank you for all you are doing for the kingdom of Jesus.
