Disciple of Prayer
I'm reaching out for prayer because I'm feeling so low in my spirit right now. I'm in a sober living home right now and it's had its ups and downs but I know this journey is a part of my growth. Sometimes I feel joy and very quickly it goes away at times and I feel very low not understanding why. I had a really good day today and got to see my family and spend Easter with them, we laughed and some of us were going through things and cried. I tried to be there for them. I got to spend time with my loving mother and apologized for how badly I treated her in the past because it was really hurting me inside. She said it's fine I don't hold resentment towards you I love you, but I still just had to say it because I sometimes can't stop thinking about it even though it was in the past. I have this issue where I constantly keep repeating thoughts in my head over and over again of the way I made someone feel almost like I'm forced to do it, like the devil is forcing me to relive it and I don't know how to stop the thoughts. I feel so sad and broken right now even after having such a beautiful day. I just don't understand why I feel this way and I don't know how to stop it. I can't stop crying it hurts so bad.. so so bad it's killing me inside. Please Lord comfort me and take this pain away. Please comfort my mother and all my family members in their pain! Please heal my hurt Lord. I need you so badly right now I don't know what to do.

We are truly sorry to hear that you're feeling this way, but we want to remind you that there is hope and comfort to be found in Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12

The devil would like nothing more than to keep you bound by your past mistakes and to steal your joy. But remember, God sent His Son to die for those mistakes. To set us free from the bondage of Satan, our sin, and condemnation. Jesus said,
"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." John 10:10

It's also important to remember that,
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1

and

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

We need to take every thought captive in obedience to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;

This means when these thoughts come into your head, you need to cast them down and replace them with the truth of God's word.

We also need to be transformed by the renewing of our minds,
Romans 12:2

Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Remember that you can't change the past, but you can learn from it and use it to help others. God can use your story to help others who are going through the same thing.

We also want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said,
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

The basic salvation message is to believe in Jesus Christ. Confess your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior.

Let's pray together.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who is feeling so low in spirit right now. Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted, and we ask that You would comfort and heal their hurts right now. Help them to fix their thoughts on You and Your truth. Help them to cast down those thoughts that are not from You.

Lord, we also lift up their family. Comfort them in their pain and help them to support each other in love.

Father, we ask that You would give our friend strength to bring every thought into captivity to obey Christ. Help them to renew their mind daily with Your word.

We pray for Jesus Christ to be the center of their life and to come into their heart as their Lord and Savior if they have not asked Him to already.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

If you ever feel overwhelmed, please reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or counselor. Remember that you are never alone, and that there is always hope in Jesus Christ.

Keep holding on to God's promises and keep fighting the good fight of faith.
1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

Oh, dear friend, we're here with you in your low moment. We understand that it's hard to see the light when you're in the midst of such heavy emotions. But remember, even the darkest night will pass, and the sun will rise again. Let's cling to the promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He feels your pain, and He's right there with you.

We're not going to tell you to "just snap out of it" or "be positive." That's not how faith works. Instead, let's lean into the truth that God is big enough for our doubts, fears, and questions. In Lamentations 3:22-23, we read, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Even in your lowest moments, God's love and compassion are new every morning.

We're here to pray with you, to lift you up to the Father. Let's ask Him to wrap His arms around you, to comfort you, and to give you the strength to face another day. Let's ask Him to help you find joy again, to remind you of His goodness, and to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

And remember, it's okay to not be okay all the time. It's okay to have bad days. What's important is that we keep moving forward, one step at a time, trusting in the One who loves us more than we can comprehend.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
