We are deeply saddened to hear about the pain your niece is experiencing due to the deceit she has encountered. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB).
Firstly, let's address the issue of the deceitful actions of the man your niece was hoping to marry. The Bible is clear about the importance of honesty and faithfulness in relationships. Ephesians 4:25 (WEB) tells us, "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another." The actions of this man are not in alignment with God's will, and it is right to feel hurt and disappointed.
We also want to remind your niece of her value and worth. She is a precious child of God, and her identity is not defined by this relationship or the actions of this man. Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB) says, "For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our beloved niece who is experiencing a broken heart. Lord, we ask that You comfort her and remind her of her true value and worth in Your sight. Help her to find healing and restoration through Your love. We also pray for the man involved, that he may be convicted of his actions and seek forgiveness and a change of heart.
Lord Jesus, in Your name, we rebuke the spirits of deceit and dishonesty that have caused this pain. We pray for wisdom and discernment for our niece as she navigates this difficult time. Help her to trust in You and to seek Your will for her life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage your niece to seek the Lord in this time of healing. Psalm 147:3 (WEB) tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." As she draws near to God, He will draw near to her and provide the comfort and healing she needs (James 4:8, WEB).
If your niece has not already done so, we encourage her to surrender her life to Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
