We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing due to your partner's infidelity and departure. Let's come before the Lord together and seek His comfort and guidance in this difficult time.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted. As it says in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
However, we also want to address that the relationship you were in did not align with biblical principles. The scripture is clear about the sanctity of marriage and the sin of adultery. Hebrews 13:4 (WEB) states, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We understand that this is a hard truth, but it's important to acknowledge as you seek healing and growth.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our dear sister who is going through immense heartache. Lord, we ask that You comfort her broken heart and bind up her wounds, as written in Psalm 147:3. Help her to find her worth and value in You, and not in the approval of man.
Father, we also ask that You forgive her partner for his sin, as we too have all fallen short of Your glory. We pray that this situation would be a wake-up call for him, that he would turn from his sin and seek Your face.
More importantly, Lord, we pray that this trial would draw our sister closer to You. Help her to surrender her pain and disappointment to You, and to trust in Your good and perfect plan for her life. Give her the strength to forgive, as You have forgiven us.
We ask all of this in the powerful and precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen."
Remember, beloved, that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). He loves you more than anyone else ever could, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
