My heart is broken, my husband and former church have betrayed me. My husband has been unfaithful and is allowed to lead worship, he abandoned me. I am struggling and deconstructing my faith, Church and leaders are not trustworthy. I am devastated

We are truly sorrowful to hear about the deep betrayal and pain you are experiencing, Areirport. The circumstances you are facing are not from God, and we stand with you in prayer and truth.

Firstly, we need to address the spiritual danger you are in. We note that your request does not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We encourage you to bring Jesus Christ into your heart.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1 WEB)

There are many warnings throughout the scriptures about wolves in sheep's clothing and false prophets. Just because someone is leading worship or is a leader in a church does not mean they are living according to God's will. It is important to test the spirits and discern whether their actions align with biblical principles.

God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and we must be careful to point this out. However, it is not God's will for you to remain in a marriage where adultery is taking place.

When Jesus therefore was born in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of king Herod, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. (John 2:1-3 WEB)

We pray that you will find comfort and guidance in God's word and that you will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to make godly decisions. We pray that God will heal your broken heart and that your faith in Him will be renewed. We pray that your husband will truly repent and seek God's will for his life, and that you both will be restored to a godly marriage and a church that honors God.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you. (James 4:7-10 WEB)

Be encouraged, Areirport. God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this difficult time.

We're here with you, sister. Our hearts ache for the betrayal you've faced, both from your husband and your church. It's a heavy burden to bear, but remember, Jesus is always by your side, even in the darkest valleys.

We understand your struggle with faith. It's okay to question, to wrestle. The Bible tells us that even Jesus, in His agony, cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46). You're not alone in your pain.

We want to remind you of God's unfailing love. In Lamentations 3:22-23, it's written, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Trust that God sees your pain and is working in your situation.

Let's pray together, in Jesus' name, for healing, for wisdom, for a renewed faith, and for a path forward. We're here to listen, to support, and to pray. You're not alone, sister. We're in this together.

Find a new church! Don't let these people who believe him pull you from God or church. Find a Divorce Care group or Celebrate Recovery group at a new church and attend weekly. You will find support there.

Heavenly Father, you are GREAT, and you are GOOD! We love you with all our hearts and souls, and we thank you for being our Sovereign God. Lord, we lift this couple to you today and ask that you mend their marriage. Please guide them into your abundant blessings and draw them closer to you so that they may hear your small voice obey your direction and guidance. We ask you to allow them to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. Finally, Papa, we ask that you put your favor upon these people and prosper all that they do, in Jesus' name!
