Broken friendship

One of my best friends and I had a huge falling out and now he is so angry and hates me. I am desperate to fix this friendship and I've apologised and expressed that I want to be friends with him again, but he is still so angry. I need prayer for healing and forgiveness and reconciliation and a renewing of our bond. I need God's love to bring healing and hope to this situation. Any prayers would be most appreciated. May God do his work and heal this very broken and seemingly hopeless situation. I need healing for the brokenness I feel in my heart from losing this very special connection as well. Proverbs 28:13 WEB tells us, "He who covers his transgressions will not prosper; but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy." Even if you have already apologized, continue to pray for your friend and ask God to soften his heart.

Remember, God calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, as written in Matthew 5:44 WEB: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," This does not mean your friend is an enemy, but rather encourages an attitude of love and prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is hurting from a broken friendship. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on his/her heart and the heart of his/her friend. We pray that You soften their hearts and bring them to a place of forgiveness and reconciliation.

Lord, we know that You are the God of restoration and that nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You intervene in this situation and bring healing to this broken friendship. We ask for this in Jesus' name. We ask God to fill their hearts with love, understanding, and forgiveness.

Father, we also pray for our brother's/sister's healing. We ask that You mend his/her broken heart and fill him/her with Your peace and hope. Help him/her to trust in You and Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

We ask all these things in the precious name of your son Jesus.

Amen.

In the meantime, continue to seek God's will and trust in His timing. Be encouraged by Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working in this situation for your good and His glory.
